TRADITIONLA WEAR (Kanzu)

 The Kanzu is a generically white or cream colored ankle length tunic worn by men in Uganda as a traditional or festival attire. its an important dress which draws its popularity from the Buganda tribe of central Uganda.  

UGANDA CULTURE WEAR(Traditional)

 Elegance and color are simply the description of Buganda kingdom's traditional garment, the gomesi or bodings. No traditional function in central Uganda and many other parts of the country is complete without women immaculately dressed in the gomesi. the traditional marriage ceremony is one such function where the gomasi is a must.

Another dress is "akikooyi" which is worn underneath the gomasi but can also be worn alone during the traditional ceremony as a style.

The crisis of African wear Legacy

African clothes are more than just costumes worn at cultural ceremonies , but they have a place in our modern world as cultural, economics and political statements about African identity.

Almost 8 billion people on earth and most of them wear clothes made by modern systems. if you looked closely at the graph you will see no mention of Africa. but Africans make up a sizable percentage of the global population. let us say that 1 in 8 people are African and they all wear clothes now lets talk about our poverty in Africa and our terrible social reality in the world. can you imagine what would happen if we supplied ourselves with at least 10% of our clothing needs? And just dealing with clothes not even touching our food. 

Today what is called African is usually made in china and sold back to Africa. and the Chinese are not copying African design and repeating them no , it is worse than that they are replacing European designs which Africa calls African.
